Nomin Bayaraa

Nomin earned her Bachelor's degree in Physical Education Teaching from the Mongolian State University of Education in 1999. She dedicated 17 years to teaching and educating future teachers at the Mongolian State University of Education, one of Mongolia's leading institutions for teacher education. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Studies. She is delighted to join Mongol Ukhaan School, where she supports young children growing up in Vancouver by helping them develop their language skills, learn the Mongolian language, embrace their cultural heritage, and communicate confidently in their mother tongue.

She firmly believes that, together with parents, we can help our children—the future generation of Mongolia—build a strong foundation in speaking and communicating beautifully, accurately, and confidently in their native language from an early age.

Educator Role
Intermediate Classes: Developing students’ grammar, reading, writing, and overall Mongolian language skills.

Bolormaa Dorjpalam

Bolormaa is an Early Childhood Educator at YMCA Vancouver, supporting children’s learning through the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum. She also teaches Mongolian language and culture at Mongol Ukhaan School, creating programs and events that preserve and celebrate cultural heritage for younger generations. Previously, she worked as a Health and Safety Compliance Trainer at Oyu Tolgoi and with the U.S. Peace Corps, where she established a community English Resource Center funded by a USAID grant.

Educator Role
Youth Club: Supporting youth engagement, leadership development, cultural pride, and community connection.

Ariunaa (Anya) Khuyagbaatar

Ariunaa’s teaching philosophy is centered on empowering Mongolian children growing up abroad by preserving their native language and heritage while fostering a deep sense of pride in their Mongolian identity.
 

She is a dedicated educator at the Mongolian Language & Cultural Program (MLCP) in Vancouver, Canada, with a mission to preserve and pass down Mongolian language, traditions, and culture. With extensive experience in early childhood education and community programming, Ariunaa uses creative, play-based learning methods to nurture confident, well-rounded learners who value their Mongolian heritage and customs.

She is currently serving as a Program Leader at Burnaby Neighbourhood House and  has previous experience as a Center Manager at “Az Jargalyn Urgoo” (House of Happiness) Center for Children with Special Needs in Tuv, Zuunmod Province.

Educator Role
Elementary Classes: Teaching the Mongolian alphabet, reading, writing, songs, poems, and cultural activities.

Ariuntsetseg Khuyagbaatar

Ariun is an education professional with six years of experience teaching and supporting children in Mongolia and Canada. She is currently working as a School-Age Childcare Educator at Burnaby Neighbourhood House. She is passionate about creating positive,
engaging, and safe environments where children feel comfortable to learn and grow. She strives to make a meaningful impact by helping each child feel supported, valued, and inspired. Outside of work, Ariun enjoys staying active through tennis, roller skating, and
volleyball, and loves exploring new cafés.

Educator Role
Beginner Classes: Building foundational Mongolian language skills through listening, speaking, vocabulary development, and interactive activities.
