About the Event

Overview

The American Center for Mongolian Studies (ACMS) and Western Washington University invite you to join us for a Mongolian Studies Reception at the Association for Asian Studies (AAS) Conference on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 6-9pm PDT.

This reception will take place at the Coal Harbour Community Centre, which is conveniently located just steps from the conference venue at 480 Broughton Street in Vancouver.

Join students, faculty and researchers working in the field of Mongolian Studies at this informal gathering as part of the Association of Asian Studies (AAS) annual convention being held in Vancouver from March 12-14.  AAS is the largest community of Asian Studies scholars in the world, with several thousand scholars from Asia, North America and Europe coming together for this meeting.  

Multiple sessions and discussions at AAS will focus on Mongolia, including presentations on conducting research in the archives of Mongolia, digital humanities work and other topics related to history and contemporary fields. …
