Overview

Celebrating "Mongolia's Democracy Revolution," the third exhibition in the Lobby Gallery's Solidarity series

The Lobby Gallery at the Liu Institute for Global Issues invites you to view the exhibit and attend a reception to celebrate Mongolia's Democracy Revolution. The exhibition is the third installment of the Solidarity series. Featuring a rare collection of images by Finnish journalist Irja Halász, Mongolia's Democracy Revolution tells the story of the 1990 movement, when the Mongolian people came together across lines of difference to organize, protest, and demand change. The exhibition is open for viewing every day in the Liu Lobby Gallery until March 27, 2026.

During the reception you are invited to join us to celebrate this work, to discuss and reflect on democracy, and to enjoy light refreshments
